Hello, my name is Carol. I'm from Central Virginia. I find it VERY necessary to tell you that all Virginians are not complete idiots and that many of us truly are very intelligent people! This hasn't proven to be the case on Survivor so I had to say it! LOL! I joined this wiki because: I am a true Survivor fan! It's the best reality show on TV - one gets to observe human nature, see parts of the world you might never see otherwise, and yell at/throw pillows at the TV on days/nights other than those when football/NASCAR is on. What's not to love??? The best word to describe me is: Unpredictable. Interests: Reading/Cooking/Traveling/Camping/Photography/Cards/Games Favorite movies: The Italian Job / Red / Hunt for Red October / We Were Soldiers Favorite TV shows: Survivor / NCIS / Criminal Minds My hero(es): My father because he always knew how to make me feel like I was the only person in the world even when there were dozens of children around for he took time to truly listen to what I had to say - it taught me that children always NEED to be heard and this made me a better mother and grandmother. :) My Uncle Allen and Aunt Helen for they showed me what uncondtional love was and how to be compassionate towards others no matter what they'd done or where they came from - if God can forgive us, it's up to us to forgive as well. My Mom - she took so little and did so much on a week in, week out basis. This taught me to be able to do the same. Lord knows it prepared me to be a military wife of an enlisted man! I didn't think he'd ever get promoted! Then he did and they were great years, wouldn't trade them for anything - nothing. Last, but most definitely not least, are the heroines I can only refer to as the "ladies of the WF." This is a great group of ladies I met online in a support forum 11 years ago. Since then we've gone out on our own and developed our own great little group of closeknit, friends and I'd be lost without them. When we started we only knew we shared a sense of humor and the reason we'd joined the online support forum; now we share so much more! We're there to discuss, laugh, cry, shout, scream, celebrate -- all around support one another. No matter what is going on, these ladies have my back and I have theirs. They would annihilate anyone who they feel is going to be detrimental to my personal wellbeing - we are that close; and I'd do the same for any one of them! Yes, these women are my heroes and I'm so very blessed to have had, and to have, them in my life. My superpower is: I can't tell! Once I know you well enough, then I'll share my secret ... ;-) If I could live anywhere, it would be: Alaska if I could talk my children into moving up there. If that isn't possible, I'd be happy someone in Virginia near Natural Bridge. :) My dream job(s): Owning my own coffee shop so I could bake to my heart's content. What else you should know about me: I'm easygoing and easy to get along with but I'm not a pushover. I tend to speak my mind but you will find I'm not rude. It appears to me that too many people seem to think chat rooms give them anonymity and therefore they can just say anything to anyone - I won't do this as it just seems wrong to me.
