People tell me that I live the dream, because of the diversity of experiences in my life: I am a professional scuba diver -- a PADI Divemaster, and enjoy helping to train recreational divers, especially "Rescue Divers." I'm also a Master Scuba Diver with "8" specialty levels. I'm a professional fundraiser and have assisted many causes -- ranging from higher education, the environment, to cancer research. I am a professional musician (Master's degree in music), and have conducted numerous choirs and orchestras; and, yes, I sing! About a thousand years ago, I was Nicolas Cage's photo double in the movie, "Guarding Tess," and I have a construction background in custom residential building (family owned business). Is there a thread that binds it all together? One: I love the diversity of life, and I'm not afraid of failure. My best attribute: I sincerely enjoy people and know how to bring them together for a purpose. Most important to me is my family -- My wife and two children.

Kyle,

I really agree with your post about the recruiting. A couple years back I thought it'd be great to try out. I spent weeks getting into shape and sent in a very good video. I have an interesting background, so I had no doubts I'd at least get an interview. I heard nothing back. Then I saw the jokers that were on the show that season and I thought I smelled something rotten. I lost interest from that point on and quit watching. I just came across the info where Probst admitted they go with almost all recruits. Survivor owes it to the public to stop the dishonest application stunt. Either tell every one that they don't take applications anymore (they won't because they know that's why people liked it) or else stop the recruiting.

I'm with you. I'll go against their recruits any day with you and I bet we'd kick their tails and be more interesting than the "fake" Survivors!

Do you find this valuable?
