Episode Summaries:

Episode 1: Welcome to Africa

· Reward/Immunity Challenge: Each tribe had to pull a carriage with fire on top. At each stop; 3 tribe members would each light a part of the tiki. They would continue on until one tribe makes it to the hut. First tribe that burns the rope at the end of the course and their flag raises wins immunity and reward.

· Reward: Waterproof matches

16 people were stranded in Africa already separated into two tribes. They had two minutes to get anything they could out of the crate. When the two minutes were up they headed out to their camps. Frank tried to take control of building Samburu’s shelter building but Silas and Lindsey took control and built a bad shelter. Frank ended up forming an alliance with Carl, Linda and Teresa. Over at Boran; Lex, Tom, Ethan and Kelly formed an alliance. Lex got into an argument with Diane on where the water is. Tom eventually finds the water thus proving Lex wrong which Diane rubs into his face which starts another argument. At the immunity challenge; Samburu pulls out a big win thus sending Boran to Tribal Council. Back at the Boran tribe everyone was conversing about who to vote out. Lex tried to turn the tribe against Diane but that didn’t work as Diane had formed an alliance with Kim J, Clarence and Jessie. She also formed a sub-alliance with Tom. Diane convinced her whole alliance to vote for Lex. At Tribal Council; Diane, Kim J, Clarence, Jessie and Tom voted for Lex while Lex, Kelly and Ethan voted for Diane. Thus Lex was voted out in a 5-3 vote.

Episode 2: We’re Dying Out Here

· Immunity Challenge: Each tribe would select one member to hold a pole on their shoulders, and one “loader” who placed the buckets on the pole. The remaining tribe members would traverse a long balance beam with a pole on their shoulder with one bucket on either side, and hang it on the opposing tribe’s pole.

At Boran; Kelly and Ethan knew that they would be voted out soon. Ethan formed an alliance with Tom trying to get further him into the game. Over that Samburu; Frank had confronted Silas saying that he was no good for nothing. This put a huge target on Frank’s back. Carl, Linda and Teresa say that they are going to vote Frank out the first chance they get. Frank ends up forming an alliance with the man he fought with, Silas. Silas lures Kim P into the alliance as well bringing their numbers to 3. At the Boran camp; Jessie waists supplies by trying to kill an animal which he is not successful. This makes Diane turn on him getting everyone’s votes to vote him out next Tribal Council. At the immunity challenge; Samburu once again takes the victory thus sending Boran to Tribal Council once again. When Boran gets back to their camp Jessie immediately starts trying to rally the tribe to vote Diane out. She manages to get the votes of Clarence, Ethan and Kelly. She tries to get Big Tom’s vote but he doesn’t budge. At Tribal Council, Jessie reveals that Diane is playing the tribe. Jessie, Clarence and Ethan vote for Diane while Diane, Kelly, Tom and Kim J vote for Jessie. Thus Jessie was voted out in a 4-3 vote.

Episode 3: Damn, She Was Right

· Immunity Challenge: Each tribe member will be given a partner. They will be blindfolded. They will make their way through a maze to the center. The first tribe to have both pairs unites at the center win immunity.

When Boran came back from Tribal everyone knew that Jessie was right. Big Tom expressed in a confessional “DAMN! She was right!” Over at Samburu everyone was getting annoyed by Lindsey for being annoying and not helping out. They were happy they hadn’t lost immunity but Frank convinced Silas and Kim P to throw the immunity challenge. Back at Boran, Big Tom tried to reform the alliance with Ethan and Kelly but they just wouldn’t budge. Kim J presented the crazy idea of voting Big Tom out to Diane and she agreed so it was set. Though it quickly spread throughout the tribe and soon everyone knew the plan. Ethan and Kelly did align Big Tom in order to keep him in the game. At Samburu, Silas, Frank and Kim PP run roughshod over the camp burning all the wood they had collected and drinking most of their water. Brandon was very angry with this and yelled his loudest for everyone to vote Frank out. At the immunity challenge Boran pulled out the victory sending Samburu to their first Tribal Council. When Samburu returned to camp strategizing began. Frank, Silas and Kim P tried to lure Carl and Linda into their alliance but they said that they weren’t sure. At Tribal Council; Frank, Silas, Kim P and Carl voted for Brandon; Linda, Brandon and Lindsey voted for Frank while Teresa voted for Silas. Thus Brandon was voted out in a 4-3-1 vote.

Episode 4: Come On Guys, It’s Now or Never

· Immunity Challenge: One person will be the caller for their tribe. They will direct their tribe mates to find15 scattered puzzle pieces. When all the pieces are collected, the tribe will assemble the puzzle cube. First tribe to finish wins immunity.

Samburu arrives back at camp after Tribal some are happy that Brandon was voted out but others are pissed. As of now the alliance of Frank, Silas and Kim P stands. Over at Boran the alliance of Big Tom, Ethan and Kelly are planning to overthrow the queen in Diane. They tell everyone but Diane that it’s now or never. Clarence ends up telling Diane so she sets up a plan to blindside Ethan. Back at Samburu Frank is now trying to play both sides. He tries to get in with Carl and Linda once again but they know that he is still with Silas and Kim P so they tell him that they’ll never reform their alliance with him. Frank goes to Lindsey to get the majority and she eventually gives in to save herself. At the immunity challenge; Samburu wins in a big way thus sending Boran back to Tribal Council for the third time. When Boran arrives back at camp the strategizing begins. Diane has organized the blindside of Ethan with the guaranteed votes of Clarence, Kim J and herself. She tries to get Kelly to switch her vote and she reluctantly ends up doing it. At Tribal Council, Diane, Kim J, Clarence and Kelly vote for Ethan while Big Tom and Ethan vote for Diane. Thus Ethan was voted out in a 4-2 vote.

Episode 5: Double Trouble

· Immunity Challenge: The tribes would compete separately for individual immunity. The castaways would be attached to a rope threaded through obstacles which they would have to climb under, over, or around. The first Boran and the first Samburu to win will be immune from the vote.

Upon returning from Tribal Council, the whole Boran tribe was paranoid about their safety and hoped for the merge soon. Big Tom threatened to get Diane voted out of the game at the next Tribal Council. Over at Samburu everyone was enjoying their time but Lindsey. She had become very sick in the past few days and was throwing up. Linda had been helping her but she desperately wanted to leave and asked the tribe to vote her out. Frank expressed in a confessional that he didn’t think that Lindsey was really sick and she was going to blindside someone. Silas and Kim P talked about if getting rid of Frank would be a good thing. Eventually they decided to try to get rid of the opposing side by taking out Carl. At the immunity challenge it was revealed that both tribes were voting somebody out and this was for individual immunity. Kelly won immunity for Boran and Silas won immunity for Samburu. At Boran Diane, Clarence and Kim J made the plan to take out Big Tom but Kelly told Tom that she would sacrifice herself and hand over her immunity to him to keep him safe and they planned to take out Kim J. At Boran’s Tribal Council, the plan game into fruition when Kelly gave Big Tom immunity. Diane and Kim J voted for Kelly while Big Tom, Kelly and Clarence voted for Kim J. Thus Kim J was voted out in a 3-2 vote. Over at Samburu; Frank, Silas and Kim P decided that they were going to vote Teresa out and they have the majority because they also have Lindsey with them although she is still very sick. At Samburu’s Tribal Council; Silas kept the immunity. Frank, Silas, Kim P and Lindsey voted for Teresa while Teresa, Carl and Linda voted for Lindsey. Thus Teresa was voted out in a 4-3 vote.

Episode 6: The Claws Come Out

· Immunity Challenge: The castaways would stand on a perch, one arm above their head with their wrist tethered to a bucket of water on top of a platform. The castaway who could stand there the longest without tipping the bucket would win. During the challenge, Jeff would tempt the castaways to quit with offerings of cookies and milk; donuts and iced coffee; peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chips, candy, and milk.

Both tribes went to what they thought was the reward challenge but it ended up finally being the merge. They had their feast and named the merged tribe Moto Maji. They ended up staying at the old Samburu camp. As soon as they arrived strategizing started. Frank immediately went to Diane and Clarence to form an alliance and his old tribe saw this. Big Tom talked with Carl and Linda about voting Diane out. Diane formed an alliance with Frank, Clarence, Lindsey and Kim P. Big Tom formed an alliance with Kelly, Silas, Carl and Linda. The votes would be tied at five unless someone switched their votes. At the immunity challenge it came down to Tom, Clarence and Kelly. Kelly dropped out when Jeff offered donuts and a cup of coffee. Tom and Clarence kept going for another hour before Tom eventually gave up giving Clarence individual immunity. When Moto Maji arrived back at camp Lindsey told everyone to vote her out but again everyone thought she was organizing a blindside. Big Tom got his alliance of Kelly, Silas, Carl and Linda to sway Frank over to their alliance so they can vote Diane out. At Tribal Council; Big Tom, Kelly, Carl and Linda voted for Diane while Silas, Diane, Clarence, Lindsey, and Kim P voted for Big Tom. Thus Big Tom was voted out in a 6-4 vote.

Episode 7: How Is She Still Here?

· Immunity Challenge: Each castaway would receive ten stones to throw at tiles. The castaway that breaks the most tiles wins immunity.

After returning from Tribal Council everyone was sad after voting off the funniest guy on the tribe. Diane tried telling a few jokes about him but that just dug her grave even further. Kelly from the former Boran tribe wondered how Diane even survived this long and she promised she would get Diane voted out. Frank and Kelly had a conversation about Diane and Frank promised that he would help vote Diane out. The alliance of Diane and Clarence stood and they eventually lured Carl and Linda in. Silas made the announcement that he was throwing the immunity challenge and told them to vote him out. Lindsey got better in this episode. At the immunity challenge Frank and Diane both broke 6 tiles each. They had a tie breaker which they got 3 more rocks. Frank broke all 3 while Diane only broke 1 thus giving Frank individual immunity. When they arrived back at camp Kelly and Frank starting rallying the troops to vote Diane out; Kelly got the votes of Lindsey and Kim P while Frank got the vote of Silas even though he wanted everyone to vote him out. Diane made a final four deal with Clarence, Carl and Linda even though Carl and Linda were secretly plotting to vote Clarence out that night. At Tribal Council; Kelly, Frank and Silas voted for Diane; Diane and Clarence voted for Kelly while Carl, Linda and Kim P voted for Clarence thus causing a tie. A revote occurred with Diane and Clarence unable to vote. Kelly, Frank, Silas and Kim P voted for Diane while Carl, Linda and Lindsey voted for Clarence. Thus Diane was ousted in a 4-3 revote.

Episode 8: It’s Just A Game, Yeah For A Million Dollars

· Immunity Challenge: The castaways hang onto beams 10 feet high. Whoever lasts the longest wins immunity.

Upon returning from Tribal Council the whole tribe had a celebration besides Clarence who cried because he only ally was voted out. Linda talks with Clarence and says that it’s just a game. Clarence sits in the middle of the desert with his water bottle. He eventually lies down and goes to sleep. The tribe can’t find him the next day. Frank and Silas go out looking for him and eventually find him lying in the sand. They get him up and bring him back to camp and he gets really sick. At the immunity challenge Clarence drops out in seconds. The final 3 castaways on their beams are Frank, Kim P and Kelly. Frank gives in and drops out. Kim P eventually gives up thus giving Kelly individual immunity. When everyone gets back to camp Frank and Kelly decide to get Clarence voted out because he’s bringing everyone down. Clarence tries to rally people to vote Frank out because he is a huge threat. At Tribal Council; Kelly gives her immunity to Frank. Frank, Kelly, Silas and Lindsey vote for Clarence, Clarence, Carl and Linda vote for Kelly, Kim P votes for Lindsey. Thus Clarence was voted out in a 4-3-1 vote.

Episode 9: Going Once, Going Twice

· Immunity Challenge: Each castaway will throw fruit into baskets. Each fruit has a different point total. Apples are worth 2 points, bananas worth 3, coconuts worth 4 and watermelons worth 5. After 5 minutes the totals would be tallied and whoever has the most points after 5 minutes wins immunity.

Everyone was happy because they voted out Clarence but Frank wanted to find out the mystery vote against Lindsey. Frank quizzed everyone but nobody would give an honest answer. Frank got very pissed off and started screaming at anyone. Kim P reveals to Carl that she voted for Lindsey and Carl promises not to tell anyone. Carl ends up going to tell Frank which in turn Frank tells Lindsey which starts an argument. At the immunity challenge Kim P scores 14 points as does Frank and Lindsey. They do a tiebreaker challenge which gives Frank his second immunity win but third immunity overall. The tribe arrived back at camp and Kim P told everyone that she wanted to go home. Frank already wanted to vote her out due to Kim P voting Lindsey out at the last Tribal Council. At Tribal Council; Frank, Silas, Carl, Linda, Kelly and Lindsey voted for Kim P while Kim P voted for Silas. Thus Kim P was voted out in a 6-1 vote.

Episode 10: The Puppet Master

· Immunity Challenge: Through one-on-one matchups, the castaways will knock each other off the platform with heavy padded shields. They would all be on at the same time. Last castaway remaining would win immunity.

After arriving back from Tribal Council, Frank immediately went to work strategizing once again. He was trying to get the votes to oust his ally Silas. He told Carl and Linda that Silas wanted to get them out next and eventually go on to win the game. In a confessional Frank expressed that he was the puppet master and he was manipulating everyone in his favor. Lindsey formed a one-off alliance with Kelly and Silas to make it further in the game. If these two alliances stayed intact than it would be a tie at Tribal Council. At the immunity challenge everyone teams up on Frank eliminating him first. Carl is eliminated second. Silas is eliminated third. Linda is eliminated fourth. Lindsey is eliminated fifth giving Kelly immunity once again. When everyone got back to camp Silas made a big power play by thinking that he got Carl’s vote to eliminate Frank. Frank fired back by securing the votes of Lindsey and Kelly thus making it 4 votes to 2. At Tribal Council; Frank, Carl and Linda voted for Silas while Silas, Kelly and Lindsey voted for Frank. In a revote; Carl, Linda and Lindsey vote for Silas while Kelly votes for Frank. Thus Silas was ousted in a 3-1 revote.

Episode 11: Uh Oh, We’re Outnumbered

· Immunity Challenge: Each player will shootrocks with a slingshot towards plates, trying to hit everyone else’s.

Upon arriving back at camp from Tribal Council; Frank went to work securing votes to vote out Kelly at the next Tribal Council. Frank and Carl made a final 2 deal and they said they would pick off everyone until they made it. Frank went to Lindsey to try and secure her vote. She wouldn’t budge from her alliance. Frank and Carl worried that a women’s alliance could be forming. Linda was really an outcast and would end up being the swing vote. Kelly approached Linda before the immunity challenge about forming an alliance and making a final 2 deal. With that Frank and Carl’s fate might have been sealed. At the immunity challenge Frank pulled out what may have been the biggest immunity challenge win in Survivor history to save himself. Back at camp Frank went to Linda about voting Kelly out but Linda made a stupid move and revealed that she had a final 2 deal with Kelly. Frank went to Carl and told him that they needed to vote Linda out. Frank went to Lindsey about voting Linda out. Surprisingly Lindsey agreed with voting her out. Frank than asked her about voting Kelly out. Lindsey said she would but let’s let her make the final 4 first. Frank agreed but was suspicious about Lindsey and wanted her voted out. He went to Linda and Kelly about voting Lindsey out and they agreed. At Tribal Council; Frank, Carl, Linda and Kelly voted for Lindsey while Lindsey voted for Linda. Thus Lindsey was ousted in a 4-1 vote.

Episode 12: Final Four, Final Fury

· Immunity Challenge: Find as many pairs of items as you can. The person with the most pairs wins immunity.

When returning from Tribal Council the final four started a fire. They boiled some water and chatted about their time in Africa. The next morning Frank began talking with Linda telling her that Kelly was a huge threat if she made it to the finals. Linda sort of agreed with Frank but said they should vote Carl out. Frank obviously didn’t agree as he had a final four deal with Carl. Linda went to Kelly and they talked about finally voting Frank out. Kelly worried that he would win immunity. Her fears were confirmed when Frank found 8 pairs to Linda 6 at the immunity challenge. Frank came back to camp excited about his win. He told the final four that he was giving his immunity to Carl. Which may end up being Frank’s demise; Kelly and Linda now had the best opportunity to vote Frank out. At Tribal Council; Carl and Frank voted for Kelly while Kelly and Linda voted for Frank. In the revote however both Carl and Linda voted for Kelly. Thus Kelly was ousted in a 2-0 revote.

Episode 13: Goodbye Africa, We’ll Miss You

· Immunity Challenge: “Fallen Comrades”: The remaining 3 would answer 12 questions about the players who made up the Moto Maji tribe.

Frank, Carl and Linda arrive back at camp. Frank thanks Linda for voting to keep him and thanks Carl as well. At the final immunity challenge Frank had a commanding lead going 6 for 6. Linda eventually caught up and at the 11th question they were tied. Frank answered the last question correct. At Tribal Council; Frank honored his word and took Carl to the final 2 with him. Thus Linda was voted out in a 1-0 vote and became the last jury member. Back at camp Frank and Carl burnt down the shelter and took one last walk through the deserts of Africa. They went to their final Tribal Council. Frank pleads with all his heart for them to vote him to win. Carl did the same. When it came to vote; Kim P, Silas, Lindsey and Clarence voted for Frank while Diane, Kelly and Linda voted for Carl. Thus the winner of Survivor: Africa by a vote of 4-3 is Frank.
