Unforgettable moments:
Survivor All Stars is noted as having numerous unforgettable moments. Remember, these contestants were the best of the best, so there was bound to be great moments.
Deathly Shelter Attempt. In an episode 3 reward challenge, in which the tribes had to compete in building the best safe and sound shelter, America's Hero Rupert, made a critical mistake as he demanded that his tribe, Saboga, build their shelter underground. At the time, it seemed like a unique idea, but after being judged by the shelter expert, they forgot to realize that during hightide, their 'brilliant' underground shelter would quickly become a submerged coffin. Of course Saboga lost that challenge and were left with nothing except the idea that they would have to rebuild again starting from square one.
Jenna Exits. In one of Survivor's most heartbreaking moments, in Episode 3, Jenna Morasca (winner of Survivor: Amazon) made the tough decision to leave Survivor due to her worries about her ailing mother back at home. Jenna made the announcement to host Jeff Probst, in front of all other 15 contestants, which led up to many tearful goodbyes and a moment that would remain in the history books. At the end of the Episode, it was revealed that Jenna, in fact, had made the right decision as she arrived just in time to spend the last few moments with her mother.
Sue Storms Off. In a prior immunity challenge, there was an altercation between former Borneo tribemates, Richard and Susan, which would become Survivor's biggest controversial issues. As usual, Richard, being the comfortable nudist he is, competed in the challenge naked as well. Sue sure was steaming inside! Richard Naked + Sue passing in front of him = unhappy Sue.
In the next episode, before a reward challenge was set to begin, feeling violated, Susan erupted her anger toward Jeff Probst, yelled her feelings about being "violated and dehumanized", and demanded to be sent home immediately.
Betrayal. In a twist of fate separating lovebirds Rob M. and Amber, Rob asked buddy Lex, as a favor, to "protect her." Lex returned the favor at the next tribal council, when he decided to spare Amber and instead, vote off Jerri Manthey. By the time the merge came around, Lex was looking forward to Rob M. protecting him, but little did he know that he was tricked; Rob's only agenda was to get Amber back, even if it meant to offer false promises to do so.
Comeback Victory. During postmerge, it was evidently clear that the former Chapera members had banded together to pick off every other former Mogo Mogo member. Shii Ann realized this the most as she was left alone, due to her former allies Lex and Kathy 'picked off' exactly two episodes ago in a row; she knew she was next. However, this was only motivation for Shii Ann, proven in the next immunity challenge where she showed her ultimate endurance beating out every single former Chapera tribe member. And a then smug Chapera was put in their place, thus throwing off all their plans.
Explosive Final Tribal. All Stars is unofficially dubbed as having one of the most intense final tribal councils. 90% of the jury members were still furious with Rob M.'s backstabbing and betrayal and proverbially "let him have it!" Former Survivor: Africa castaway, Tom Buchanan, was especially betrayed by Rob and it showed when he put his hand out for Rob to give a handshake only to pull it back and purposely reject him.
Popping the Question. How coincidental, right? That the Final 2 would consist of a romantic couple. Right before Jeff was about to read the Final Votes during the Live Finale, Rob M. popped the BIG QUESTION to Amber Brkich; her hand in marriage. A fairy tale ending indeed: Amber said "yes" and both win...Amber takes the Million Dollars and Rob M. gets the girl.
2nd Chance Million. During the Live Reunion, Jeff Probst announced that for the first time in Survivor history, America would play a major part in the Survivor experience. Of the 18 All Stars, a second $1,000,000 prize would be given to the contestant that garners the most votes sent through text or online.
The Winner of the 2nd Million Dollar Prize: America's Favorite, Rupert Boneham.
