Discuss Survivor Redemption Island Episode 8

Merge! Redemption Island castaway returns! Redemption Island begins again! Whoa... lots going on! Hopefully Phillip and his saggy pink undies get castaway for good! Or Dave flips and gives Ometepe more 3's (as long as Phillip keeps his mouth shut). However, if Matt and Phillip both flip sides, it won't do Zapatera any good! ;) Do you find this valuable? |

Oops, just saw the promo for the show! Looks like they are keeping redemption island. Odd, I don't remember reading too many people here that were in favor of it. I guess they need to keep Rob on as long as possible!!!

I don't get these challenges - in Redemption Island, allowing them to 'lean' into the wall to hold themselves up - how is that tough in the challenge? I thought he said using their arms?

After the season we've had "Milk Toast 'Survivor'" we've endured to date, I'll take the extra dose of Redemption Island. I'm just sorry that Matt wasn't smart enough to realize that if Rob wanted him gone in the first place, what the h3ll did he think he was going to do? Welcome him back with open arms? Idiot! Moron, numbskull, lamebrain! Oh, I can't think of enough of titles that seem adequate to justify the level of ineptitude that go along with the move Matt made!!! Oh, he had to be kicking himself on that long walk back to the loneliness of redemption island! Argh! And Andrea? Don't even get me started on that one! After she made the remark that Matt threw her under the bus she was dumb enough to not realize that she needed to try and save herself and know that she needed to try and go with Matt! She KNEW they were voting for Matt! Oh well, she's history too, now. Their only hope after Matt talked to Rob was together and then she didn't TELL him! Instead, she stabbed him in the back. Now I sincerely do hope that they slit her throat. The old Zapatere may not have to do anything, Ometepa may implode; Murlonio may end up being more Zapatera than Ometepe. It's going to be interesting, y'all, so get grab a seat. I'll put on the coffee and make the coffee cake! :D Do you find this valuable? |

It's like, make the rules and stick to them! Hands/arms don't mean whole upper bodies. Poor Matt - I felt so bad for him! but he was a loose cannon and the wild card. He tipped his hand when he went to Rob. Do you find this valuable? |

OMG...I put all my hopes on him to go toe to toe with Rob...his first strategizing with Andrea sounded super...flip.....then his concience gets to him and now he wants to play nice...WHAT....ISN'T THIS THE GAME OF SURVIVOR?...I repeat all the names Widda used to describe Matt and then some...how crazy was his play...he deserved to go back to Redemption...Mike seems to have his game on and a good one at that...to have Matt turn on them at TC...wowie wow...I was clapping for Matt to return...he didn't learn a darn thing the first time out...Maybe now??? yeah matt is a dummy, but I think in real life he must be lonely , as he wanted the people he liked to like him more than he wanted to win the game.and rob could have had a very loyal ally in matt, because I think matt even wanted rob to like him and if matt gave rob his word on something he would keep it. so rob was stupid seeing him as a threat. now if matt gets back in, ............again........... he will ally with the others but it may be too late. I think the one vote for steve was matts vote, and if andrea had voted for rango then it would have been rango out? but she was just trying to save herself, after matt was so dumb as to tell rob everything. the previews said rob solidifies his hold on his team, so this could be just a weekly elimination of the other tribe, and wont be interesting till the are gone. I just wonder when the RI person will come back now, I think late, maybe when they are down to just 4 so then RI person would be # 5. Do you find this valuable? |

Though I do believe he came close to losing in that last duel with Sarita. If the next duel is one that involves him having to use his foot and it hasn't been treated, he may be in trouble. Wow Matt, never thought someone could be sooo naive. Even after he had been warned by how many ppl of whats been going on. Really. Maybe there a positive point about him going back to R. island. I wonder how far along before he gets to return back into the tribe. near the end or at the end maybe hmm now wont that be interesting. The last thing they want is NOT to have Matt at the final 3 LMAO.Ralph, Ralph, Ralph you are sooo stupid. now they have no idol to save them. Why on earth would they use that immunity idol soo soon into the merge. Not thinking im sorry Mike is good, but he sure wasnt the main threat to worry about. Steve was a good choice and so was Matt. Andrea she just placed a target on her back with Rob. Thank you very much Matt lol. Phillip blah blah blah blah blah.. Can we make bets yet, before someone goes postal. lol Everyone rather have him around to annoy everyone. lol Cause he is actually keeping some targets off of some ppl. But it won't last long. But can i say I was right MIke is going to flip lol. so I say Steve or Ralph is next to go bye bye. maybe and their is no immunity idol to help them. but now. Maybe they should change the name of Redemption Island to Idiot Island. We have all seen some foolish things on this program over the years, but Matt's move has to make the top ten!! Grant has to be worried now that he knows the other tribe is out to get him.

After watching the show again, I'm thinking like y'all are - Grant should be realizing that old Zapatera either wants him gone or on their side. Smart move is to align with them - he has to realize that Rob is never going to take him to the finals because he knows he would be hard pressed to beat Grant in a physical challenge. Rob is getting rid of all his threats. The others are too dumb to realize it - everyone on his tribe anyway. Hope some of the others can wake them up. I want to see some smart play & not the dominance! Send Rob to RI & let him face Matt! Won't happen anytime soon I'm sure but I'm so hoping it WILL happen. :) Y'all know that Russell has to be sitting at home just seething every week when he sees Rob just smiling and getting his way...

"...About time for Grant to make a bold move don't you think...I mean Rob's team has been hanging on his every word, action.One of my reasons for not liking veterans pitted against newbies......time for the game to rev up and provide some very very interesting gameplay...hope it happens..."WELL THERE ARE newbies and stupid newbies, and last season and this season, they seem to be picking some real lemons? but now that the merge has happened we will see how stupid robs tribemates are, if they get rid of him good for them not as dumb as they seem, but if they keep following his lead then they are dummies. now is the time to get rid of him, but first make sure you have the number advantage.. since they dumped matt it is still a shaky 6-5 they need to get rid of one of the zaps before rob. and grant should wait to make a move unless he is going to ally with zapatera. if that is it then he has to do it now. I am not expecting any brilliant moves from these lame people they are picking to be on the show. Maybe they should change the name of Redemption Island to Idiot Island............. funny not a bad idea and it would be fun to see rob have to go against matt there and lose. Idiot Island? LOL! I like it! But then they'd have to have all the tribe members living there, wouldn't they? Nah, that wouldn't work, Phillip would wane on and on about Samurais and they'd be ready to do him with a sword and then we'd be seeing action and the producers can't have that, can they? Last week when Mike approached Matt & Matt listened (for the nanosecond that he actually listened) I really thought we had a game at last! "Here we go, game ON!" Nope, Matt changed his mind a dozen times before he'd gone three steps I do believe. Andrea? Now that I've had time to reflect I can't say I blame her considering how wishy-washy he was but I do believe she'll be gone soon. Matt told Rob she was on his side & Rob knows they were tight; bye-bye Andrea as soon as Rob thinks he doesn't need ya.Grant will most likely swing to Zapatera for the reason that he knows they're after him. I'm still trying to understand why they didn't vote for Rob - they had no way of knowing he had an idol. ?? Was anyone else impressed by Natalie's prowess during the immunity challenge? I thought she did great. As did Mike as well so I was glad he wasn't voted out. I hope someone draws a big old line in the sand this week and dares someone to cross it - it's time for drama on the island! LOL Have a great week all! Do you find this valuable? |

Phillip is beginning to remind me of Coach, the dragon slayer. Do the producers go out looking for these guys?? I hope Grant can determine what to do to stay on the island. He has to make a move now to either flip or stay with Rob. I agree that Andrea is gone ASAP. Now that they are merged, things are finally going to get interesting as, hopefully, everyone starts to play the game.

I was rooting for Rob until this past episode. His own paranoia will bite him in the a$. He totally misread what Matt was telling him. I hope Matt takes it all. I swear, if they don't get rid Of Phil soon, I'm going to check myself into the hospital. He is an expert on everything. If he is so darn smart, why doesn't he run for president? He opens his mouth and I cringe. I hate seeing the stinky pinkies. GIVE ME A BREAK!

Rob should be paranoid, cause the zapatara tribe will want him off as soon as possible, but at least he wasnt paranoid as Mike was, and Ralph gave him the immunity idol right away. Matt was the swing vote. Andrea is in trouble now thank very much Matt, she may not be able to get further. There are still too many power houses that need to go first before her. Lets see Steve, Ralph, Julie are actually my opinion major threats then Rob Grant Mike ( are 3 power threats). Matt is only a threat when it comes to challenges(and when they bring him back will want to vote rob off for sure), but if he makes it to the bottom 3 he might have a good chance a winning, depending on how they look at the he played the game. Then Natalie, David.. and am i missing another person... ? Do you find this valuable? |
